Process
The process starts with a conversation about the idea. It could be an online meeting or a face to face. Next step would be to present and review an outline sketch. Based on feedback, it will be adjusted to a final presentation where materials, timeline and price is agreed upon. Once agreement and payment has been completed, the work will commence.
Upon completion, the reminding balance will be paid and your bespoke piece will be packed and shipped to your destination.

The design process
Commissioned work is a large portion of activity in the shop. Fulfilling a need, satisfying a desire, designs are formed that are fully functional and easy to live with.

To create something unique is like creating a piece of art. It can take time to come up with a concept that works. Past designs can be redone, tweaked, or entirely new concepts can be created. A piece can tell a story, it can have a color combination that is unique or it will combine all this with function. With my Scandinavian background, functionality is important. I like the details and that it is meant to be used on regular basis. The touch and feel is also important. Wood as a natural product is a live medium that can change over time. You should never constrain the wood but work with it and use its features to promote its uniqueness. Nothing is like using a piece that is “alive” and have its own story to share. I like working with sustainable sources of materials in both wood and finishing details. It should be friendly to the nature and not harmful in any way.
