Jorn is originally from Norway, way north of the arctic circle. Growing up in such harsh conditions led him to value the importance of functionality but also the beauty of what nature can give. Throughout his younger years, he learned from his father woodworking using all the basic tools, specially hand tools in their shop at home. Being a creative person led him to explore different career paths throughout the world such as professional chef working in Norway and France. Corporate enterprise IT sales in Ireland and the UK. And professional learning technologist in Australia supporting a large part of Asia and South East Asia.
Over these years, he has been following his passions and building his talents to the fine woodworker designer as he is today. He has always loved design and seeing the world through different set of eyes. He also want to give back to the world through his teaching of woodworking skills.
He has his studio in Seattle were he currently lives with his wife and 3 kids. His wife works in Vancouver WA which means that he often commutes south and explore nature in and around Oregon as well as Washington.
